ABOUT THE SERIES

The Changemakers” is an exclusive TV series on CNBC TV18, that showcases the inspiring work done on CSR by various organizations in India. It puts the spotlight on those companies/NGO’s/Philanthropists, who through their ground-breaking initiatives of corporate social responsibility are bringing about positive social change in the country.

SEASON 1 of the series (Nov 2019-April 2020), featured the inspiring stories of 30 such organizations, which included NGO’s, Corporates & Philanthropists, from across the country. It showcased some of the most compelling stories and the commendable work done at the grass-root level by these organizations across sectors like education, healthcare, gender equality, skill development, disability, etc. and how these initiatives are impacting the lives of millions of people in India.

SEASON 2, would yet again feature over 30 organizations and would be on Air on CNBC-TV18 from October/November 2020 onwards. This season, the series would not only put the spotlight on those organizations that continue to keep up with their noble cause of giving back to society but also the new set of changemakers that the recent pandemic brought out.

To achieve a better and more sustainable future for all, The United Nations has come forward with the Sustainable Development Goals. The UN SDG’s address the global challenges across 17 fields including poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity and peace & justice. To realize these goals, the champions from the Indian Corporate sector have set the precedence through community engagement, collaboration and working at the grass root level to create a better world for all. The Changemakers also recognize these companies who have incorporated Sustainable Development Goals in their business philosophy and are striving towards achieving a sustainable future for all.
