SNEHA
The Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action – @SnehaMumbai, founded in 1999 by Dr. Armida Fernandez along with a group of renowned doctors and social workers, is dedicated to addressing health, nutrition and safety challenges among mothers and children through a continuum of care approach. As a changemaker, SNEHA focuses on strengthening community’s capacity to access public health services while working with public health systems to provide quality services by changing knowledge, attitudes and behaviours. Through the organization, women and children in marginalized slum communities are offered preventive and promotional health services so that they can stay healthy and safe.
